PC Peripherals UPS Advice

Right then..Thanks to Reliance I've faced more power problems in the last few months than I have in 8 years in Mumbai. Never needed a UPS out here before but definitely need one now. To power a:

Seasonic 650 w PSU (i7-5820 - X99) Dell 24" monitor

15-20 mins of backup is sufficient, however I need one that can be connected to the computer and programmed to auto-shutoff the computer if required.

TIA

a standard 1000 va ups would provide 15-20 mins backup for around 4-5k, however, the auto-shutdown feature is only on the more expensive models sadly.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but is this still the recommendation, or has there something better?

Also, The last few months Amazon reviews are saying it failed very fast.

Thanks

apc can't handle our country's voltage fluctuations (or they're selling only low quality ups)
either way apc has a high failure rate in India for some reason- best to avoid.

I've been using the APC BR1500G-IN for about 3 years now. Works flawlessly (except for the damn buttons, which need to be pressed harder). I recently got the batteries changed. Cost me 2270 (inc all taxes) (he took the old batteries as part of the deal).

Btw, ive been using the UPS with FreeNAS using NUT. Works flawlessly.
