PC Peripherals Urgent: Help Me Decide The Processor And MotherBoard.

Hi,

Please Help Me Decide between the following and do mention the prices if you can.

They will NOT BE OVERCLOCKED.
1. Processors:

  • AMD 64 2800+ (754 I think:P ) (5.2Ks Approx)
  • AMD 64 3000+ (939) (7.7Ks Approx)
  • P4 3Ghz HT (Price???)

2. Motherboards (As per processors in Order):

  • Asus K8V-X (4.5Ks Approx) or Asus K8S-MX (4.1Ks Approx) or Asus K8N (5Ks Approx) or Anyother better one Please Suggest. Also, tell me....do all of them have 64MB Shared onboard GFX or not.
  • MSI RS480-M2 Motherboard (5.8Ks Approx)
  • Intel 865 (Price???)

3. PSU:

  • Powersafe 400 W PSU (Price=???)
  • VIP 300 W PSU (Price=???)
  • Some other one along with cabinet.

I need to decide upon the decreasing value of the above. The factors determining the buy: Durability, Future Proof , Prices as mentioned.
Any other processors or motherboards along the same lines are welcome.

Please help at the fastest. Need to decide by 1430Hrs Today.

MSI RS480-M2 + A64 3000+ is the best combo out of those. A 400W powersafe PSU will be more than sufficient. Actually even a 350W is good enuf if you don't have too many hard drives and cd drives. That board has the 9550SE equivalent graphics chip onboard. A lot better than the rest of them as it supports directx 9.
 
if ur not into overclocking and need a somewhat future proof system go for the socket 939s and the msi board is quite good recently my cousin brought a system based on it with a amd 3200+ proc..

Powersafe 400 W (should be around 1.5k)
the above seems the best bet and should be pretty future proof

treat yourself to a pair of 512mb sticks as well ;)

Not for me....a friend of mine....who is doing his engineering elsewhere and his comp at home here is on the deathbed.....

if possible, i shall get them for his house today itself...hence the time restriction.
