Urgent:Suggest me a budget phone around 4k: Cedar/5233/X2-01

Hi Guys,

I am looking to buy a budget phone around 4k. Main use will be browsing on the go using opera mini browser.

I dont want to spend more then 4k as I have a propensity to lose my high end droids(till now Lost x 2). So I have decided

Budget : 4k

Brands Preferred: Any

Features: Opera mini should work flawlessly

Camera: Dont care

3G/Wifi: dont mind, Actually I am confused about this.

Screen: Should be atleast QVGA

Features that will not be used: Camera, music player,FM

Options considered:

Se Cedar : +ve: 3G HSPDA,Java multitasking, Micro usb charging

-ve: Small screen, Dpad looks horrible

Nokia X2-01 +ve : Looks good,keypad,relatively big screen

-ve: No 3g,No java multitasking ,I hate s40

Nokia 5233: Best Deals Online|Daily Shopping Deals|Discount Deals|Sulekha Deals

Is the above site reliable,?? would have been perfect. Anyways I have a 3g dongle when I need to download anything serious..

I know the specs of the phones . What I need is personal opinion if anyone has used these models

Any other suggestions are also welcome...

K just checked prices and coupons

at something called timtatara I got

Cedar :3699

Cedar with 16 gb micro SD: 4372

at letsbuy

cedar with 2 gb sd and bluetooth headset: 3900

But no white silver option

at flipkart: 4300 but no freebies

still looking....

well, I know I kindaa answered myself, but still suggestions are welcome..

out of the choices you have given go for the 5233.
for browsing you need a bigger screen and of the 3 it is the best.
also would like to suggest the samsung star5523.
try the cellphones before buying them.

If you can extend a budget little bit(around 1k) go for the 5235, its hard to find but you get Nokia 5233+3G, GPS and nokia ovi music subscription. The last one is kinda great because you can download high quality songs for free for one year, its kinda great if you want to build your own music collection, I use the 5235 and it is great

Yeah, I got the cedar anyway, got it for 3.9k with free bluetooth headset.

I know the screen is small , but atleast the UI is much better then Nokia series 40 phones.

BTW 5233 was out of stock many places and where it was available,It was pretty expensive around 5.9k mark

can any cedar owner shed some light on how to edit the main home screen of the phone..??

I mean i want to change the right and left selection key and wanna add "contacts" and "camera" on these two buttone where currently are the "media" and "search"..
