vbulletin restore backup ?

I had setup vbulletin forums.Now the forums have got corrupted so i installed all the vbulletin files again i had taken the sql backup of previous forums.How do i restore the backup ? i am using mysql as a database server and apache as web server
 
when you say u've installed all the vbulletin files again, i am assuming u've done a fresh re-install and not just plainly overwriten the files. in that case, you must have created a new database for ur fresh vb install.

in order to import all ur members, threads, posts and others etc, from the previous database, you'll need an utility called impex. its available to licensed users of vb free of charge and is downloadable from members area.
 
simple backup can be restored via phpmyadmin even.(small sized)

or use a script named big dump.

import database and in vb config file put the names to reflect that.

if all fials mysql frontend is a sure shot way.(search for it on google) though the first will work.
