Forum Feedback Verification for brand reps

We need some sort of verification system in place for when someone comes on to a thread and claims to be a brand rep. There have been a couple of instances like this recently, most recently here - https://techenclave.com/threads/tru...lternative-caller-id-app.216435/#post-2489113

I think just the admin/mods taking a look at the registration email address should be fine - if the email domain is that of the company, I think that should be enough.

Looks like my post in the truecaller thread was deleted, with the reason "rep is from truecaller". Okay? Someone checked and verified, I'm glad, but how is anyone reading that thread supposed to know the rep is actually from truecaller? What is the point of deleting my post over there?

Can the mod responsible come forward and explain themselves please?

Respectfully you're making decorum based assumptions there of how you believe things here work or should work which is fine but, that doesn't tell me if it's actually how it is since no reasons were given, no message to the mods has been replied to, no nothing.

It's not "expected" otherwise I would have gotten restricted when I tried making a thread in the first place, but it was allowed and it's been up for almost 2 months so you can't retroactively justify this as something I should expect.

It got restricted today because someone decided I was "untrustworthy" as you say, because I made a post in my own thread mind you, and suddenly out of the blue, with no prior notice, no warning I find out my thread got closed and I have this mark of ostracisation on my profile that declares to anyone that reads that I am untrustworthy everywhere I go on the forum with no clue if it's a permanent status or how this 'brand' I now wear is treated by other people.

I was apparently quite trustworthy for the entire duration my thread was up for the past ~2 months, no doubt the mods saw it more than once in the past 2 months and never objected but something suddenly changed today. This is what confounds me.
I agree with you. What rsaeon mentioned about sparse posts is not a rule, and your restriction appears to be arbitarily applied.

The moderation here is completely untransparent IMO, and not at all up to par. Just because someone is a volunteer doesn't mean they don't have the responsibility of being transparent about moderation decisions and the reasons for them, especially because the decision is outside the posted rules. However, that's the way it goes for this team, and I wouldn't hold your breath for anything different.

Jesus christ look at these cowardly mods, don't want to let anything be said against them. Are you all actually that insecure and gutless? What are you going to do now, ban me for this? That'll just prove my point. Someone in the mod team is a power tripping POS.

My post here saying mod team is not up to par got moved to https://techenclave.com/threads/verification-for-brand-reps.216505/#post-2497406
Just like my previous posts calling out the mod team got lost somewhere.

Re-posting here because this is utter bullshit.

I agree with @calvin1719 here. I don't remember seeing market restricted tags back when I had joined this forum. While I understand the reasons behind the restrictions, I have been completely confused as to what a new user needs to do in order to access all parts of the forum like we oldies do. Also, I am always ever-so-curious as to why a particular member is market restricted/market banned when their posts are not spammy or anything. This gets all the more confusing when I read their own (the concerned member's) posts questioning the reason behind the restrictions.

Went through the rules over and over again. 2-3 months back, the rule was that the marketplace was competely closed for recruits. The pinned post in classifieds still says the same. Yet I find recruit posts in classifieds.
