Graphic Cards Vertical Stripes on Screen

Recently i got a new MSI 7850 OC Power Edition. I am having few issues after i installed the new graphics card. Rest of the system specs are in my signature.

1) My PC is usually on 24/7. I checked in the morning. The monitor showed no output. I tightened the screws on the dvi cable. Still no source. After restart everything was fine

2) Just now i was browsing and the screen turned into vertical orange/black stripes. Pic below. Had to restart again


I had no issues with my old gfx card. It was working perfectly for past 3.5 yrs. So how do i figure out the issue.

List of possibilities

1) AMD driver issue( Currently on 12.10)

2) I had cleaned my system by removing all parts and assembled it back with my new gfx card. Will check tomorrow for any loose contacts or connections

3) Gfx card gone bad? Temperature under idle is 31C and at load will not exceed 75C. I don't have any issues while playing. This happened randomly during idle.

4) RAM or mobo gone bad? How do i check

5) PSU going kaput. But it was doing well with my old gfx card GTS 250. I think it drew more power than 7850.

Anything else i need to do to isolate the issue?

EDIT: I reseated all the components and checked if it was working. My gfx card has 2 fans. But only one works. The other turns intermittently and then stops. Although the temp are normal and not sure is this is the reaseon for my issue, i want to get this replaced. I got this from flipkart 1 week back. I have already sent a mail to flipkart regarding this. Will they send it for RMA and give the same card, or will i be receiving a new one? I have no experience with RMA.
 
Got a replacement from flipkart. Although the new card is in a sealed anti static cover, the outer cover looks beat up and old. Any possibility of a RMA'd card?

I am travelling next week and wont be back for almost 6 months or more, so have to deal with this card for now. After plugging in there are no issues with fan now. It runs pretty cool and quiet.

But the issues i had with the previous card are still there. Sometimes No output after power save screen off. Display freezes during flash videos. A bit of googling revealed many users have this issue with AMD 7xxx series cards. Although there are some workarounds for this, it is still dissapointing. Had always been a Nvidia user. Had no issues with it. Regretting my first AMD GPU purchase Cant believe there are still issues with their drivers. Some 4-5 yrs back i had heard a sp road guy say there were issues with ATI card drivers.

Anyway the in game performance is quite good. And my gaming will be on hold for sometime. So will stick with this card.
 
I bought 7870 card locally and i having the same problem... Its from sapphire and it's just one week old.. I am thinking of getting it RMAed
