For my father and strictly for making calls only. Durable, comfortable keys, fairly loud ringtone and audio as well as good battery life would be nice.

For Loud Sound I prefer Samsung- really a loud sound even you can hear caller voice very clearly in big traffic too. Also Service providers service matters. I personally check with Vodafone, BSNL & Videocon all sound equally clear & loud to me. All 3 Samsung phone I used/tested were 4k & up models.

I have the Samsung E2152, and found it pretty good with the basic features. Ring volume is good, but could have been better. Definitely pales in comparison (in terms of dB) to the cheap Chinese phones
