Budget is really not an constrain but taking figure 20k which is good invest for VFM gear, I assume. It should offers easy interface operation. Better if have option of changing lens as per shoot requirement & different mood.

pl suggest. thanks.

Budget not a constraint suggestion

550D/600D + BGE8 + Extra Battery + Steadycam + Shotgun Mic (examples Sennheiser MKE400 or Audio Technica Pro24CM)

Budgest Suggestion

HD Camcorder

550D is not good in video. I read just in other thread on TE.

What r the best tiny HD camcorder in budget up to max 20k.(though this figure is too higher for me but ready to spend bucks upto 20 for best option)

550D is a excellent camera and you can probably shoot a good movie (commercial) with it which is done by some film makers...

Here it is compared to a Mark II

Here is what a 550D can do

You can Canon Vixia HD RF20 which would do for you... But do keep in mind 550D although not very convenient for use is the better video quality. Never underestimate DSLR video unless you have a 9000 dollar Epic scarlett

The canon DSLR are good at taking videos if one is interviewing a person on a tri pod or with a hands of skilled person who is good at using manual focus.

If one is going to use the auto focus the camcorders are better or if you want a interchangeable lens cameras check out the Sony SLT but again its above your budget and all DSLR and SLT cameras record motor noise more then the mirroless cameras.

Mirrorless cameras like the panasonic GH series are very good in video department. But they are quite expensive, you can also get the Sony NEX-5 which can take 1080p videos and has a magnesium alloy body costs around 25k.

If you can settle with 720p NEX-3 costs less then 20k,takes excellent still photos/DSLR quality and is also silent when taking videos.

SLRs are very very good at video because of their amazing sensors and hardware. Most of them are feature limited because of their firmware but they're still pretty good. Only limitation is convenience and battery life. Like Ronnie said, a steady cam and an extra battery should fix that.

HD Video in Canon EOS 550D is amazing, I own one, and last time during my visit to Gokarna I got simply blown away by the quality of the video. However, 550D will set you back by 37-38K, plus you need a large capacity Class 6 and above (I use SanDisk Extreme Pro SDHC UHS-I Card) memory card, otherwise the camera would pause video after every 1-2 minutes. Plus you need extra batteries as one battery would give you recording time of not more than 2-3 hours.

One of my colleagues has Sony Handycam HDR-CX130 and the quality is quite satisfactory. As you already have a camera for still images so, IMO it's better to go for a camcorder.
