Hi,

My Aunt's coming from the US at the end of May.. and I've decided to buy the card from newegg and get it thru her.

So question is Which Company... 1st which comes to mind is Evga...then XFx then Leadtek. 7600GT is the card which i'm interested in.

tell me pros cons of these 3 companys for this card with regard to performance...OC ability..value for money...etc.

Models in Question Are :
1.eVGA 256-P2-N554-AX (600/1560 MHz) ..... Rs 8.5k ( conv from $..obviously)
2. XFX PV-T73G-UDD3 (590 Mhz..???? unknown) Rs 8k (after conversion)
3.Leadtek PX7600 GT (560/1400) Rs 8k (ditto)

I'm worried abt after sales service for Evga in india. If something goes wrong i'll have to ship it all the way...umpteen hassles. Not so for others.

So What's ur opinion/advice
Sultan.

^^Yea i have the same card :D, go for it, its $180 after the mail in rebate. Kicks any 7600 GT's ass after being unlocked and even before as well :P

Oh... I dint know that 4 pipes will make so much difference. BTW unlocking them won't be much of a trouble ...will it. I'm an ameteur u see. I hope the procedure isn't too compli....

What abt after sales service in INdia...? Also i noticed that XFX model and eVGA model give higher core/memory clock speeds.... What comment?

Reply soon...

Need card urgently...

Sultan.

The X1800GTO is good, considered it as it was going for $179 after rebate but $289 shipped for a 'full' 512mb xt was too good a deal to pass up.Do consider it if u can afford $300, its really worth it(50% faster than the XL in many cases), plus if Oblivion is any indicator any thing less than an X1800XT/7900GT OC isn't gonna cut it.

7600gt is teh best bang for buck card :Dgo for leadtek performance wise, there is a 7600gt shootout here u can refer

also connect 3d is good if u can unlock it :D

As far as after sales service is concerned , i don't believe that any card purchased outside india have any "after sales service" in this country. If something goes wrong you have to ship it back!!! PLz somebody correct me if i am wrong!!!

X1800 is a counterpart to 7800, so it is obviously better than 7600.
BTW, what abt X850 PE...is it better than X1800 or what...exorbitantly priced card.

If you have decided to get a card from US then why don't you get evga's 1900xt ???? Sure it will cost more but they are awesome cards and will be much cheaper since you are getting them from america!!!! Even if you sell these cards say 1 yr. down the line in india you will easily get the purchase price of the card!!!!

What I think,
256mb 7600GT > Any 256mb Geforce 6 =(+-) Any Radeon X8xxx
So X1800GTO should be better than and geforce 6 or radeon X800 series card

Well...u still haven't told me if those 4 extra pipes make a world of a diff or not. Anyway... U also haven't commented ont he eVGA 7600 GT which is offering extremely high clock speeds.

Sad to hear abt the after sales service though.....

so i can buy eVGA either 7600 or 1900 xt witha clear conscience....

Comments plz.

Sultan.

The 4 pipes do make quite a bit of difference. Check out any X1800 GTO review which also includes the XL for comparison, u'll see. And evga does not make ATI cards. If u can go higher go for either a X1800 XT 512 MB for $299 or a X1900 XT for $420.

Edit, abt the clock speeds, the core is only 7% higher and memory about 11% so it will make a bit of a differnce but not much. U can overclock a lower clocked card to these speeds or close to them anyway.
