Vodafone screwed me , HELP needed

I have a vodafone Postpaid connection for my android device.

I wanted to try 3G so got a monthly plan activated , but didn't feel i needed it so got it deactivated next month.
After that i activated a Vodafone Live UL @99 plan and started using internet. Now billing cycle starts at 4th of the month,
Just to confirm that plan changes were in effect i called CC on 9th , they told me that only Vodafone Live plan was active on my phone
The only problem was that my unfilled amount was going up by ~100 bugs every day to which they said that since the 3g plan was active at beginning of the month it is getting added but i'll get discount on prorated basis when bill is generated so i rest assured. Now after 15 days amount crossed 1500/- and i again called CC , they again confirmed that only Vodafone Live plan was active on my phone , but they could not give details about unfilled amount. Now finally my bill came for 2300/- out of which 1800/- if for Vodafone Mobile connect (10/- per MB). they are saying that 0 Rental Mobile connect plan is active on my phone which gets activated automatically with 3G but is not deactivated automatically. Also they were saying that if you have settings on your phone then you can use Mobile connect even if it's deactivated.

I'm not sure what to do , they never even told me that 0 Rental Mobile connect was active on my phone.
Has anyone had any similar issue with vodafone.

Whats your current plan?

My vodafone billing cycle too is 4th of every. Whats your actual usage as per you, forget their bill.

I came across this issue few days back... I too having Vodafone postpaid connection(Corporate one..)

First after receiving my android checked the settings and found only VL is active.. After seeing data consumption rate of mobile, decided to go for mobile connect. In my case i activated GPRS299 that is for 5 GB..

The sad part is that i missed my plan confirmation message which is system generated. But confirmed many times with CC. My unbilled amount is Rs 2800 /- at present.. & they said only during billing, amount gets discounted as per my GPRS plan.

So on 30th i will get my unbilled amount reach to Rs.50800/- (approx) if I use it fully :O

After MNP with big user base shifted to Vodafone they START using tactics to maximize profit as NEVER KNOW when user will APPLY FOR MNP & move with others.

A bit off topic, but I want to change my prepaid voda to postpaid on the same number. Which one is better ??

I am getting a good corporate plan in terms of voice call rates, that's the only reason. But i guess, there are no small packages like Rs.14 internet card n all....

can we revert back to prepaid if postpaid doesn't suit, as I can't leave my current number ;)

my vodafone prepaid has problems like this. I had 45 rs balance then i activated the rs 14 pack for 100mb. then sent a message saying start 3g. then downloaded and then my balance became -400rs. :(.
They should be more clear.

That Rs 14 pack is valid on 2G network or on GPRS. You consumed all the mb's on 3G.

prepaid customers are crying for problems & you want to switch to Post-Paid, consider that if anything goes wrong with Post Paid over billing you are in trouble you just can't use MNP for 90 days also NEVER till you clear dispute over existing NUMBER (they can STOP service to collect pending bill if any) :(

^^ yeah, thats the only problem. But the postpaid plans are attractive, being corporate ones...

But i agree, POSTPAID needs more caution and constant eye on billing

Its not that way. Use postpaid just for calls and sms. If you use it for net usage then you are bound to get hefty bills coz you never know how your precious mbs got consumed and you are surfing our of your allocated limit.

I'm on vodafone billing since the time it was orange & then hutch & now using it for 7 yrs and touchwood, they havent charged me anything wrong yet.

But i have made it a habit of keeping track of each call and every sms duration somewhere, so that at the end of my billing cycle i just have to simply tally my call records and those mentioned in the bill. I'm doing this since i started mobile usage in yr2000. ;)

It was twice last year that they charged me some 75 & 110 bucks extra, i straightway ran to their gallery and told them that so n so was off my record. Next month i got that amount discounted from my bill. :hap2:

Simple as i say, if you are on billing, no matter what carrier, do keep an eye at the end of the day on your usage. Its better to take pain now rather than fighting and crying in pain later. :cool2:

Can we check the free minutes/msg available and current bill amount ?? How to do so...

No sadly thats not possible in postpaid. But if you keep a track of your calls, you can 98% get to know how much free mins you consumed and are balanced. But for sms its hectic to keep such report.
