vsnl is a tata company. They have these ridiculous plans such as 512 kbps with 500 mb download limits per month. If that is their attitude i doubt you will have much luck . Sure the speed and connectivity might be good but not the plans they will still suck with 512 mb download limits!!!

edit:

A friend of mine on tata / vsnl "broadband" got a bnill for 7000 Rs. After hardly using it. On the hourly basis they were charging him he was billed for more than 30 houors usage per day that month which u will agree is impossible! hoever they will not admit there mistake and change the bill.

SO best of luck to you with these jokers.

they are even worst than netin4dia oh sh!t, i thought no one could beat them in patheticness :lol:

i used to think quite a lot bout VSNL when they introduced dial up pakages in 1999 (in our area- calcutta) but as time passed by i came to realise they were the worst of all, only bunch of money suckers :@

god damn theyre plans jus came out ,900 bux for 128 unltd n 256k for 1600 bux unltd

heck at least the 128 plan got cheaper,airtel come fast grrrrrrr
 
Well, they barred outgoing service on my phone saying i had not paid previous bills when in fact every bill till date was paid on time and the cheque for the past month had been deposited on time!

A day later they say that present usage exceeds credit limit!!

speaking of credit limit- my CL was 2500/- when bill was around 1K monthly!! the very month my usage jumped to 3K+ due to dial up net, they dropped CL to 1.7K!!
And they have the gall to call everytime to remind that usage has exceeded CL!!

Even after several reminders, they did nothing about it!! I guess if i pay on time, my CL should have been raised as per usage!!

Finally i demanded disconn- on helpline as well as in writing!!

And to my horror- as per protocol they do not give immediate disconn!! 7days waiting then calls barred and then on 12th day something and so on!!
So you r forced to pay for service you do not need!

But my line not disconned, working till 12th day.
Instead they reactivate Outgoing inspite of my bill and credit status being the same as at the time of barring!!
LOL, what a joke!!

on giving reminder on helpline and in writing they overwrote original date of request- which ensures payment for the whole month i didn't use their service!

Was a TATA fanboy due to previous legacy- No More!!
