So I thought I'll play around with POP and GTA IV and decided to setup boot camp XP on my otherwise beloved Macbook
To my dismay though, the trackpad (which under OS X is by far the best trackpad I have ever used) is complete unadulterated disaster in XP
Right clicks just don't work..tracking is erratic to say the least and overall, it is nearly unusable
In addition, the battery which happily goes over 4-4.5 hrs in OS X dips down to 2.5 hrs or so under windows
I am not sure who to blame but suspect Apple is the culprit here for not releasing proper drivers for the mouse
As for the battery life, again, am guessing it is a combination of poor battery management in windows coupled with poorly optimized chipset drivers (Windows) from Apple
Now even though I'd anyway use a mouse and plug the system into AC for the occasional gaming session so this whole fiasco is not a big deal for me
But anyone who intends to get a Macbook for primarily running windows, the new MB is a clear no-go (at least till better drivers arrive)
