Car & Bike Ways to prevent rodent bite for car & bike.

I am living in a area where rodents exist and they have already made a dent on my wallet. Have been using 3M Rodent Spray for a while and its 50-50 although it smells so bad.

I even got this Killer Black Cat Trap but somehow it has always escaped but i don't want to go this way as dogs/cats they keep coming under car and if it touches it hurts/kills them in one shot.

Any other suggestions to prevent ? Any personal experience would be much helpful.

Long before I faced similar issue in swift and local workshop guy near me fixed some kind of mesh net in some places, also told me to not to park in same direction everyday. Like every few days change the direction opposite.

Not sure whether how much that was true, but after that no issue, it could be that mesh also helped.
 
There are some videos on Youtube about how to prevent rodents. The main entry point is usually AC vent but there are also some more entrance. Local workshop will solve the problem by installing steel mesh.
