@Futureized Whats your use case? If its just a normal usage then go any of these. Dram etc. wont matter at all.
WD blue 1tb is more than sufficient.

I assume 980 pro compared to my WD SN570 500GB should double performance.

Nope, there will be increment in performance but it will be imperceptible (around 1-5%). The most noticeable differece you would see is while copying large files or hammering the drive with multiple workloads. Still 980 pro is a great drive and probably will last you more than your system

I have a 2000MBps HP EX920, was earlier main drive on my laptop, now secondary drive on the desktop. Desktop's main SSD is Aorus Gen4 5500MBps one. Honestly, for normal usage, I see no difference b/w old laptop (currently has Intel 660p for boot drive) & my desktop. Games installed on Aorus vs EX920, again no noticeable difference. I just bought Gen4 because of the anticipation of Direct Storage tech.
