This USB HDD is going for 3.6k after 10% discount on Amazon. I need an external HDD to backup, and the 1.5TB capacity seems perfect for me. I had gone to Nehru Place today (OT - it was extremely dirty today) and I could find 1TB for 3.5k and 2TB for 5.5k. There are models of Elements available on Amazon with similar configuration while the above link is offering 1.5TB for 3.6k.. Not sure if I should bite on the offer though

Go for it, WD Drives are mostly reliable.

Bought it seems fine for now. Capacity shown in OS is 1.33tb maybe that's due to Windows FS or something. Anyway good capacity for the price. 15ms latency, don't know speed using it with USB 2(maybe that will also help prevent overheating)
