weird call on mobile

Forgot about this totally.
Last night around 12:50 am got a call on my mobile and the called id was showing my mobile no as calling :S

I was like wtf? so i picked up the call and an automated voice said something and was off. All this happened in like in just 3-4 seconds and i didnt manage to hear properly what that computer voice said (i was watching a good animation movie and my thoughts were more towards the movie).

Also the call didn't close, it was just blank after that and i was "hello" ing for two three times before i closed it.

Any1 have similar experience?
 
:O :O was it a dream or were *hic* *hic*,if not both please contact booth mantrik :p.just kidding dude,seriously this is the first time i am hearing that u are able to see ur own no in the called ID:S .I guess one of ur friend used some weird software to make appear ur no as his,call up the mobile provider ask them where did the call come from else wait for ur bill to arrive so u can check where did it come from.
 
lol! i was not high on any stuff at that time nor was i dreaming. I can still see the details of that call on my cell's call/receive list.

Also i definitely heard a computer generated voice. so still wondering what it was all about.

Just for caution:

Change all Passwords you using for & where money is involved. Like Net banking, credit card payment, paypal if same phone number associated with.
 
i used to play pranks with my friends by editing my name in their contact books to their own number and they were like wtf.., check your contact list to verify that
 
It is very easy to spoof the call. There was this service called voip stunt which allowed you to do it. More than one voip carriers can enable you to do that.
 
Maybe another "You" from parallel universe made a call to you. Since it's "You" who was calling "you", but in different dimension... it's still "you" calling "you". So you saw "your" number on your cellphone, although the call was made from another dimension, by "you". Then the supercomputer that manages the parallel universes and dimensions realized a leak in two dimensions (caused by "you" calling "yourself") and cut the call before "you" from other dimension could speak to "you" in this dimension... thus preventing the possible confusion and probably some damage to time-space continuum across parallel universes.

So be glad a major catastrophe was avoided. :bleh:
