As i have posted earlier, i just got a new powersafe 400w smps delivered; and asked about using the 24pin connector on a 20pin motherboard. I was told to off set the connector and everything worked fine.

However, i was thinking what would one do with motherboards which requre a separate 4 pin connector and a regular 20 pin main connector? This connector is even present on generic modern smpses but not the powersafe.

I was asking this since i might be getting an asus k8n, and was wondering what solution would be available to deal with it.

@ DJ: he doesnt have a K8N yet..

Grease Monk.. all PSUs come with the 12V 4-pin connector.. its really strange that urs doesnt seem to have one.. perhaps u overlooked? may be its hidden between the wires..

Heh. All PSUs startes shipping it ever since P4 came out.
It must be there on powersafe 400watt. Otherwise it can be cheapo old stock counterfeit sold as powersafe.

ok...now i just feel like a moron. i had hidden it behind my motherboard panel since my nforce 1 doesnt use it. Sorry guys.
