I was on the lookout for a second screen for my MacBook 12 and had narrowed it down to the dell ultrasharp series. I noticed that they have the USBC input ports as well on the newer monitor models, which seems convenient for a MacBook. I was looking at U2419HC and U2719HC.
Later I learnt that they are obscenely expensive. So that got me thinking, what if even the non USBC models are unnecessarily expensive. I am not sure though which are the monitor series from other brands which are comparable to the Dell Ultrasharp. Any suggestions?
On a related note, are there noticeable differences between the P and U series?
PS: I might have to get an iMac later so a 27" screen looks like a good future proof solution. However I have also looked at the Asus zenscreen mb16ac as a portable monitor which might be a lot more useful in several situations. Only problem, it's not available in India. Have not entirely made up my mind yet on which form factor to go with.
