Hi,

Was going thru the specs of the new Samsung 940BW and came across the line

freq. resp. - 4 ms Gray to gray.
What does this mean? what is its purpose? is it the actual freq. response of a screen or just an average.
regards - Sunil

grey to grey .. usually thats the fastest response you can get so manufacturers use that mostly.. others like dell give black to white if i m not mistaken, which takes longer

There's no direct way... look up what panel the display uses and search for the panel characteristics. The worst case latency would be the panel latency. In most situations, it'll be lower because of overdrive. G2G is a meaningless marketing spec... akin to PMPO though not as dubious :P.
