Ok so its not ram, but just to fill empty slots so they dont catch dust etc. ? (and required only by specific motherboards) ?AFAIK, these are placeholder modules for empty memory slots, used by certain motherboard models that supported both DDR2 and DDR3 memory. I believe these can be swapped around to fit a DDR2 or a DDR3 slot.
These are certainly not RAM modules. Don't think these are meant as dust/damage protection either.Ok so its not ram, but just to fill empty slots so they dont catch dust etc. ? (and required only by specific motherboards) ?
Thanks for clarification, there was not much info on web about same.Someone correct me if wrong - don't some motherboards require certain slots to be occupied, in order for the memory to function in specific modes? This may just be what these cards were meant for.
