Going to buy my first LCD monitorhyeah: i m thinkin of gettin a 19 incher from viewsonic got 9k-10k to spend on the monitor.Done some homework on monitors and found out tht non dvi monitors are cheaper. So my question is what is dvi is it necessery to get an dvi monitor i m using 9600gt.I have got these moniitors in mind please tell which 1 to buy
Viewsonic 19" 1912W
ViewSonic 19" VA1916w LCD
Viewsonic VG1921wm
Dell� SE198WFP 19" LCD Monitor
Samsung SyncMaster 932NW
I ll be using my pc generally for gaming and how are the dell ones compared to viewsonic and samsung???

I am not sure about the 19inch monitors. I remember reading somewhere on techenclave that the Viewsonic VA series monitors were not that great for gaming.

But the thing is I use the VA2226W for gaming/movies, and I personally have had no problem. You may want to wait for other people's suggestions as well.

PS: You may want to consider a larger monitor. Last I heard, the VA2226W has fallen to 12.5k and it has a DVI port as well.

I suggest you go for the VG 1930wm,should be around 9.5K.
