Where to get alcohol to clean electronics?

I have got couple of PS3 controllers that need repair. I looked up youtube videos and in those videos they use alcohol to clean the PCB and connectors. I think they use Isopropyl alcohol.

where can I get it? Can I use something else? Nail Polish remover? Spirit? or those spray bottles we get for cleaning tape heads etc.
 
Avoid using nail polish remover especially if the electronics is likely to contain SMDs (Surface Mounted Devices). Since most sensitive electronic equipments have these. This is a bit harsh for both the plastic as well as the tiny components.

Shops dealing with lab chemicals/instruments are likely to have it. I also had same problem initially while trying to source this. Then I got hold of a shop which supplies chemical reagents to schools/colleges. Only problem was that I had to buy a 1l bottle as that shop does not deal with any smaller quantities.
 
IP alcohol or PCB cleaner as it is labelled on the bottle would do you fine.

I once went looking for IP alcohol to a chemist's in ahmedabad, he said kya saab desi daaru peene ka hai kya?
