Monitors Which 24 inch LCD monitor for INR 18,000 to 22,000?

Building a high end game rig...

I initially thought of buying AOC 26 inch monitor for 23,500. But, there were no good reviews about it... So, Im thinking of getting a 24 incher with an amicable pricing and good specs (INR 18000 to 22000).

USB ports, tilt and swivel feature, low response time and 1920x1200 resolution are the features Im looking for, but not mandatory...

I thought of DELL E248WFP...but, dell has stopped production of that model.
And, Im not keen on the other dell 24 incher S2409W Full HD....
I think 1920x1200 is better for games...I mean in the long run...

my specs are:
ASUS P5Q-E
Quad core Q6600
PALIT HD 4870 1GB
G.Skill 4GB 800 MHz DDR2 RAM
CORSAIR 750TX SMPS etc.,

Kindly advice on which 24 inch monitor to buy...
My interests are Gaming, 24x7 downloading, movies...
 
S2409 has 1920x1080 resolution and HDMI port as well.

The panel is a high quality one.

S2409 is a full HD panel so its 1920x1080.

alchemist is correct...

but, what's the difference in gaming between a 1920x1080 (full HD monitor) and a 1920x1200 monitor?

yeah... thats OK with movies... but, what abt gaming? Is 1920x1200 better or is 1920x1080 no way inferior to 1920x1200?

PS:..In all these discussions, i presume tat we hav a gud mobo, proce and a gr8 graphics card... so we dont get bottlenecked anywhere...
its no use discussing pros and cons of 1920x1200 gaming with an inbuilt graphics card...:p
 
if you need samsung T240, i advice you to go for samsung T240HD but unfortunatly samsung india has not launched it here as on today, may be in two months time it may arrive, it is a good one, but at this moment you may have to go for Dell S2409 FULL HD, if you need it urgently.

uhm, T240HD is just T240 with additional component input....so that it can function as a TV too.Else, they are the same stuff.

No, they are not same, actually T240 is available in india costs around 16k dehli price , but T240HD is not available as of now in india, to see the difference between two,you need to visit samsung global site, not the india site of samsung.

hmm,apart from component input(tuner) that i already mentioned, what else major change is there mate? an extra HDMI port? and u sure of that T240 price quote?

The last time i checked with my dealer, he said it would cost anywhere from 22k-24k.that was a month back.and the order wud be processed BTB.
