Graphic Cards Which brand x1900xtx to get ?

I am getting a x1900xtx from the US of A. What I need advice on is which brand to get ?

Right now, I'm only looking at the ones available at newegg...but other options are open too...

The one I'm really intrested is is the HIS Hightech one...with the IceQ 3 cooler thing....Is that cooler better than the other stock ones we get with the x1900xtx ? if yes, how (as in...is it more efficient ? or more silent ?) ??
My x1800xt's cooler is real noisy at full speed..

Please feel free to suggest ne other brands or other place to buy 'em frm...
 
^^Will let you know by tomorrow. Seemingly the HIS cooler looks like its the perfect match between cooling performance and silence.

Dammit that monitor and the xtx (especially that card) look too damn good sitting in your siggy.... I always wanted the 48PP showoff thingy, but my jugad for maal only works with NV... more's the pity... still take ya on in the benchies.... and besides asus cards look better anyday, even the logo :bleh:

Yeah HIS cooler's look good and go great... saw a couple of these cards in Taiwan recently... I bet the coolers much better (30% or more) than sapphire's stock crap..

@ chaos that proccy needs an urgent upgrade... its bottlenecking every feckin thing out there!

last rig up for bit by bit sale (sorry to hikack the thread)... conroe next...intelligence inside :P

Its a pity u are stuck with current gen NV crap :P. Who cares about the video card's look anyway :S. Its the performance that matters and XTX r@p3s 7900GTX in both oblivion and TR Legends... the only two games that are seriously next gen right now. U wanna get into a benchy fight eh... try beating funky's 3dmark scores first :P.

The stock cooler is far from crap... if you leave it at default speed and have good airflow in ur cabinet, its not noisy either. Its not loud unless you max the fan to 100%. It gets the job done so who's complaining :P.

LOL did you see the 300x9 beside the 3000+ :P. That means the proccy is running at 2.7GHz... in games it'll be way faster than ur 4800+ at stock :tongue: . Only thing that'll be slow is 3dmark 06 but who cares anyway about that.

hehh... yeah proccy saw... still @ stock....:P, besides @ card, I don't have a mini reactor inside....need a/c outside...
I said the sapphire stock cooler is crap noise wise and performance wise to the HIS cooler... the card runs some 10 degrees hotter, or 15% hotter, which is a lot..
@ I don't get gifts from digit unlike u from the softies...u lucky sod!!:P

Which 3rd party cooler would ya suggest ?

Accelero doesnt seem very efficient & none of the other 3rd party coolers (zalman & thermalright) compatible with x1900 seies seem to exhaust hot air out.

The 7900GTX does the same thing...its basically cooler, cause it doesn't add to the inside cabby temps...does artic make anything for ATI cards?? The PCB of the xtx and the gtx also ain't the same, besides the Nvidia doesn't heat up as much (temps may be as much as 20 degrees lower)... chaos should be able to help.
 
^^I thought Accelero was good, atleast from the reviews i read, but its silent and better than stock but not worth the money i guess.

Naa stay away from power crapper or gagandpuke (err gecube :P). Their build quality is bad compared to Sapphire. But then Sapphire's RMA service ain't very special either.
 
M1n0r: Next year when my 'get from US' thread opens the premiums will be up to 40%, lol, can't believe some will buy it for 20k+ w/o any Indian warranty!Nice sale m8.

Why dont you go for MSI or Gigabyte ones, infact MSI one is cheaper with the mail in rebate. Not to forget, they have one of the best build qualities, and an awesome game bundle.
 
Why do u want to go for a X1900 XTX. Go for an XT which willoperform 5% lower but cost like a 75$ less. The best card to go for is the His X1900 XT IceQ3. The cooler is much better than the stock cooler and the card runs cooler(about 10C) and much quieter. The His is for $429 after a 10$ mir

HIS Hightech Radeon X1900XT H190XTQ512DVN Video Card - Retail at Newegg.com

The XTX version of the same costs $525 after a $20 MIR. No way is it worth it. The best choice would be the XT.

Or theres a Sapphire XT for $369 after a $30 MIR. Awesome deal SAPPHIRE Radeon X1900XT 100149SR Video Card - Retail at Newegg.com
