Which Broadband Shld I Prefer??

hey guyzz .. i m living in gurgaon .. last year i took 500 bsnl broadband plan .. but that becomes nightmare for me:S .. there was som probs in the net ..
can u plz suggest me wich shd i take this time..with the optimum downlaod limit .. bcz bsnl dont provide the as much downlaod that much i want ..
i would like to prefer the unlimited download limit ..
if any one know the rates .. then tell me.

If airtel is availabel in your area then go for it.. for 128K unlimited you pay 700 and for 256K unlimited you pay 1000.
Moreover you get double speeds at night from 11 to 6:45.
 
Nikhil I live in bangalore and iam Having the airtel 128 kbps connection ! My speed is doubled after 10 pm. I can easily stream videos on gamespot after 10 which i can not with a 128 kbps connec ! I have checked the speed no. of times at night sometimes it shows 232 kbps and sometimes 272 kbps but its always more than 200 !!

Also airtel 128 connection which is rs 770 including taxes is not available now. Atleast in my area ! Now they are only giving 256 kbps connect for rs 1100 including tax !

But so far i havent faced any sought of problems with airtel ! The connection is usually stable and not even one time it has been down. Moreover there customer service is brilliant compared to sify and bsnl ! U know they r soo kind that they havent even sent me the bill for last month !:P
 
Wow.... then you re lucky...... I wish they doubled my speed... but they have not..

Anyway Airtel rocks.... No problems for me also..... they are extremely reliable...
 
from above discussion....it seems it is pretty costly to get 512 kbps line in big cities...i m living in bhubaneswar, orissa...i ve taken 512 kbps..with 3 gb free dload (chargeable) and from 1-7 night time...it is free..dload as much as u can and i pay 1k per month.

so for all these things in bangalore or new delhi...how much it ll be ??
 
You Mean 3gb free download for a day or whole month? Coz if its month then I think there is no use but if its day then u r very lucky !

also u r saying that frm 1- 7 at night its free , isn't that 3 gb also free in the daytime ?
 
I am in delhi & have been using airtel (Rs. 999 plan) since november 2004.
It was a 128 kbps unlimited 1:2 (was called "Home 128" plan then) when I started, then got upgraded to 256kbps (is called "Home 999" plan I think) & now (a couple of months back) got double download speeds at night.
I've never had to pay anything extra for double speeds at night.

very true.. I had to call them 4 times today and then after much ranting someone from noida called me up and said your plan has been changed.. however it is yet to take effect at my end..
 
Their customer service needs some help, but it definitely is not as bad as MTNLS's or others. I'd still rate Airtels customer service on the top. Basically they fix the mess up everytime.

In the past 2 years i've been using airtel, i've yet to encounter a single downtime, and this along with reasonable plans, is what driving Airtel to the top.
