Need to buy a CPU and a Motherboard, it should have crossfire support. Budget - ~11k. DDRII mobo is preferred.
Purpose - Gaming.

Bro anything that is out of company jurisdiction ( after market cooler, overclocking, unlocking etc. etc. ) voids warranty and that means trouble and huge bills or no replacementssiril_k said:does unlocking void the warranty?
how come they would know if cpu was unlocked since its the motherboard that does unlocking right?
intresting, but never seen anyone getting denied of RMA bcoz of aftermarket cooler, overclocking(to some xtent) so is it real or one off case.ALPHA17 said:Bro anything that is out of company jurisdiction ( after market cooler, overclocking, unlocking etc. etc. ) voids warranty and that means trouble and huge bills or no replacements
XTechManiac said:Well, some say unlocking doesn't voids warranty and I agree with it.
As far as I've read(never have unlocked cores myself), unlocking is by software and no hardware changes is made.
So, if I remove the CPU from the motherboard, then its same as it was when I bought it..they way AMD configured it.
I was just pin-pointing out a situation, that the OP 'may' run into.

I thought binnning of the cores and multiplier was a hardware process, pseudo-reflected in software, guess I'm wrong then :S :ashamed:XTechManiac said:Well, some say unlocking doesn't voids warranty and I agree with it.
