About the flickering/headache issues - I bought a ThinkPad laptop about a year ago with a matte OLED and face no issues even after lengthy stints staring at it.

I don't face issues watching movies etc on my OLED TV (Sony which uses the LG panels) either.

I'm simply enamoured by the "dark mode" that nowadays various OSes (windows, linux desktops) which I wasn't a fan of on IPS LED LCDs but totally enjoy on OLEDs.

Now, this MSI MAG 32 inch 165hz unit I recently got I haven't used for extended periods so not yet sure if it will affect me but so far so good - it's just glorious IMO.

Now, yes, the default settings on the MSI has too much colour saturation and contrast, so I too had to tone it down - make it more "mellow" and it looks great.

This panel is semi-matte so it's a good compromise between clarity and mitigating the annoying reflections of a full-glossy panel.
