especially since for the 1520 you can get a 7200 rpm HDD and also the high-resolution screen at 1680x1050
 
dell just launched the XPS 1530 with same features as Dell Inspiron 1520. If u customize it on dell india site, both Inspiron 1520 and XPS 1530 are priced similarly, so Dell XPS 1530 is the way to go now.

compare the screen with a XPS 1330 or a Macbook, or wth, even a basic Compaq V3000 series and you'll know

Bad viewing angles and atrocious backlight bleed worse than what you'll get even on the chapest acer
