Storage Solutions Which is the max 'GB' portable USB hardrive i'll get for Rs.5000

if u want a external drive , take a wd portable - 4.5 k wd , ese for 5 k u can get in a 500gb 5.5 k max types from wd

the WD 500gb sata hdd comes for 4.6k ...price is abt a week old...but tht is not a portable one...

u wud get the wd 160gb portable well within ur range..larger drive will be beyond tht budget..

1.For how long can we keep a Portable hd attached to a desktop or laptop ?

2.please give some more maintenance pointers for longlife of a portable hd

^ would that even matter i guess over the USB the speeds will more or less be the same , incase u got one with esata n firewire then its a sata for sure
