I asked about this earlier as well and in that thread there were many conversations. In that I got to a decision that

is the best option...

BUT
look at this one.... Now I am confused.

Full name - ASUS VivoBook S S14 Intel Core i5-1135G7 11th Gen, 14" (35.56 cm) FHD Thin and Light Laptop (8GB RAM/512GB SSD + 32GB Optane Memory/Windows 10/Office 2019/Iris X Graphics/Green/1.4 Kg) S433EA-AM503TS

This has a metallic chasis with i5 11th gen and 8+32optane memory....

While the Lenovo slim 5 has only top surface metal and does not have optane memory.....

What do you say? Which one is better?

Optane, AFAIK, is Intel exclusive (correct me if I’m wrong folks). I’d much rather go with the Ryzen route (more physical cores I think) and would last long. As for build quality, I’ve seen people abuse MacBooks and some people taking care of their plastic build laptops. Guess it depends on how well you maintain it. Good luck with the purchase OP!
