Monitors Which Monitor to buy for Graphic designing...

Hi All,:)

I am a Graphic designer usually working with Photoshop etc..

I want buy a new LCD monitor of 22".

The import factors I am looking for are:
1)Mainly colour reproduction
2)price.

My budget is around 12K. But I am ready to spend a little extra if it is really required. :eek:hyeah:

I live in Bangalore. Please suggest a good model and also where I can buy it in Bangalore or from whom I can buy it in these forums.:)
 
DELL S220WA e-ips panel should be good for your work. :).

wont fit in 12k ..you will have to spend 15-6k+ (not sure about the latest pricing-check with the dealers on TE or call up DELL CC for a quote.).

Dude, S2409 and S2409WA and 2408WFP are completely different monitors.

S2409WA > 2408WFP > S2409

Urs is jst an ordinary TN panel which costs 16.5k anywhere in india.

2408WFP is for 20k+

S2409WA mst be 25k+

@OP: Yup S2209WA Ips panel is best for u for 16k+

If u cannot extend budget by this much, then S2209WFP is the second-best option. (Gr8 color reproduction, ultrasharp, awesome monitor) Cost 14.5k

Wow...I didn't know that :) Anyways, do you think my 24" monitor is good for playing HD games thru Xbox 360 ?

First off, there's no S2409WA model in the 24" segment Dell has launched in the year 2009 (I'm aware of!).

Could you point me to a link of the specs of this LCD?

As for the OP's query, it has already been answered. The E2209WA with the e-IPS panel just fits your requirement right. The prices could be north of 16k + octroi if its applicable in your place.

The Ultrasharp 2408WFP is not for a graphics designer, period. S-PVA panels dont come close to the IPS panels in terms of color reproduction. Correct me if I'm wrong.
