Hi.

I have a GA-K8N51 GMF (Gigabyte) motherboard ... I have a option to change the board to ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe. Should i go ahead? .. Assuming i use my current hardware, Will the change make a difference in performance?? .. I have a 6600GT card and 1 GB ram.

My Rig listed as "Hell's Atrium". Plz reply, cause i have to take a decision by tomorrow.

^^ Option as in are you getting it free or paying up ?

Don't expect more than 2-3% perf. increase with a new mobo, maybe just extra features, stability and overclocking potential...:)

I dont see how the 2 boards are considered as options as one is IGP n other is pure enthusiast board. If you arent paying anything SLI DLX seems much better,I simply dont trust Gigabyte...always paper tigers.Anyways thats my personal opinion. If you are on tight budget and dont have a seperate GPU then you no choice but to stick with the Gigabyte...

^^ True... If not paying go for better option. Asus A8N Sli Deluxe is a good board and better choice than Gigabyte if not paying anything or even if paying a bit extra. But no onboard graphics on Asus.

thanks .. I had posted this thread wid regards to my other thread called "new comp, display problems" .. I have bought a Antec Sonata cabinet today .. lets see if my display problems are solved. otherwise i can think of the Asus motherboard for more STABILITY as suggested.

the thread is under the topic , "Trouble shooting" .. and i am paying the price diference between the two moterboards, if i go for the ASUS.
