Hi guys
I have few spare 3/4Pin 12V RGM/Non RGB PC fans from Cooler Master And Arctic . Cooler Master is 12V 0.4 Amp 3PIN and Arctic is 4 PiN , need to check . I want to cool few IT hardware like ONT/ NUC/ DAS which cant be moved . All these are closeby under one shelf/rack . I want to run the fans using 240V power adapter , What my Googling has found

Solution 1
One requires exactly this for each fan - https://www.coolerguys.com/products...-or-4pin-pwm-connector?variant=20282817937504
I do have 3/4 spare 12 V power adapter over the years of this/that router/ modem but not the connector

or a 12V power Adapter with this connector cable which are 1$ on most Chinese websites but cant fine it cheap on Indian websites

Solution 2
or a 4/5 Fan controller with Power Adapter
https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B09WN5JQJC/ (this has Motherboard Fan header Connector )
Another iteration for 3 pin/4 pin https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B0CQ1Q1QNP/ or https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B099RQCZ88/
Still no power Supply
or
Solution 3
a simple Power splitter
https://piplus.co.in/products/pi-pi...sleeved-splitter-pc-fan-power-extension-cable (this has Motherboard Fan header Connector )
https://piplus.co.in/products/pi-pi...ter-cooler-cooling-fan-splitter-y-power-cable ( this has 4 Pin Molex connector )
Still no power Supply

Solution 1 - Seems too expensive to run 3/4 fans . If i have to spend 1k+ on adapter then it better to just buy a Power supply for 1200/ like - https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B09XQRMBCK/
Solution 2 and 3 are incomplete as dont have the power supply which i actually want
I checked robu.in but couldnt find 12V power supply ending in 3/4 PINs - https://robu.in/product-category/ba...-power-supply-adaptor/standard-power-adapter/

So what are people using to power 3/4Pin PC fans ?
All crypto mining guys are/were using such mods to cool so whats available under 1200/ bucks ?

Don't worry about your fans being either 3pin or 4pin, for running them at their advertised speeds you need 2 pins. Positive and Negative. You can use any 12v power adapter and connect your fans in parallel, for example if you have 12V 2A power adapter, you can run 3 120mm fans easily.

For adapter you can use this one.
https://robu.in/product/orange-12v-2a-power-adapter-with-5-5-x-2-1mm-dc-plug/

For wires these are enough, 2 wires go to each fan.
https://robu.in/product/male-to-male-jumper-wires-40-pin-40cm/

For connecting all the fans to the DC power supply.
https://robu.in/product/female-2-15...pter-connector-plug-for-cctv-camera-pack-of-2

So your total becomes ₹681 including GST+SHIPPING. You can probably make this even cheaper if you have DIY instincts.

Excellent informative . to the point post , I already have 4+ 12V Power Adapters with me , Might not be same power so fans might blow slowly but thats fine
I require only the jumper and jacks

Ordered from Robu.in
