Monitors Why so much price difference between S2240L and P2214H?

Yesterday my friend to local shops for quotation as he needs a monitor.

For Dell s2240L he was quoted 8.7k
and for Dell p2214h 14.5k

Whats so much of price difference between these two as both are ips and 21.5in and in fact p2214h lacks hdmi.
I know H series is on a higher note than L but still 6k difference?
 
He's being ripped off. The P2214H should cost around 11~12k. For ~15k, a user here managed to pick up the bigger 24" P2414H.

Other than that, the price difference is probably due to volume. The S2240L is very popular, the P series is relatively newer and not sold as much.

Dell P series monitors are for Professional use.

In this case, p2214h comes with fully adjustable stand, 4 USB 2.0 ports, IPS screen anti glare with hard coat 3H, VESA mount support. None of these are available in S series monitors.
 
Does Dell honour warranty for goods bought online on flipkart, ebay etc. ?
I heard they dont.
Need clarification to avoid making a wrong decision.

If dell honours amazon.in or flipkart then friend would like to go for online purchase tomorrow itself rather than getting looted locally.

I think they honour Amazon but not 100% sure.

Dell honours only Flipkart and Compuindia whose rates are sky high!!!!
Go and check for yourselves.
