Wifi adapter?

I bought TP-Link Archer T2Ub from Amazon to get wifi from their TL-WR850N router(2ghz only) in my room. But I'm getting like 1mbit/s while getting around 30-40 mbit/s on my smartphone. Can't use wires. Should I try buying something else? I also have an old Dlink Dr 615 though not sure if it works and don't have its adapter.

If you're stuck with T2UB and can't return it, try getting this and repositioning T2UB and run speedtests each time, you'll see improved results.
