It will be difficult since you are not sure whether its EAP-SIM protocol is enabled at router. If you have smartphone, you may want to download some app which allows you to connect to EAP-PEAP-GTC setting, which uses certificates for handshaking.

In short, difficult to achieve, howmdo you connect from laptop?

you have to make sore the protocols are supported. Since these parameters are being asked, check for other modes.

I was just going to open a thread for this issue but instead found this thread.

I have exactly the same issue except that during class hours (8am -5pm), the wifi works on mobile phones but at other times, wifi doesn't work on any phone be it Nokia, Samsung or any other brand or on any OS including Symbian & Android.

The hostel officials claim that they aren't blocking any device. Plus one weird thing I notice on my laptop is that during class hours, the wifi is connected to only one known network (i.e. my college's access point) while at other times it is connected to two networks - one college's access point & also an "unidentified network".

Any idea what might be happening ?
