had a query bout sharing net using wifi.

currenty i have a desktop pc & a laptop which has wifi.

atm i am using net on my desktop via lan card. now i want to share this on my laptop using wifi. what i wanted to know is if i could buy a wifi pci card for my desktop & share the net with it on my laptop. this is without using a router.
is it possible to do this or no.
 
Possible... it's the same concept as sharing bandwidth between two PC's on a wired LAN when you have only 1 internet port on your Airtel router ;)
 
Its possible by creating an adhoc computer to computer network. However that is painful to say the least.... Simply get a wifi router and it'll cost the same (arnd 2k). Plug in ur desktop normally into the router using ethernet and use wifi on ur laptop.
