Will motorola v3xx work in india?

Hi,

I'm intending to buy a motorola v3i OR a motorola v3xx from the us (unlocked) from ebay through a friend. Its ancient, yes but I alwasy wanted that phone. :ashamed: I checked out gsm arena for the specs of the v3xx. Its a triband phone --> GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 I just wanna confirm if it'll work here in India. If not then i'll go in for the v3i.
Please advice.

1900 is the 2G band for India.

In India the 2G bands are 900/1800. So 2G wont be an issue. Check if the the 3G band support is 2100. If yes, it ought to work.

HSDPA 850 / 1900 --> so I'm guessing it won't work on a 3g network

HSDPA bands : 850/1900, so it will surely not work. Guess you will have to stick to 2.75G ~ EDGE for now.
