IMO, 100 tiny little features and feature improvements add up to nothing - it looks like an engineer's bug fix list ;) If they can list 3 significant changes they made to improve quality of music, I'll upgrade :D

Edit: Chaos pointed it out 24-bit support for MP3, maybe I'll give it a shot now :p
 
after listening files in foobar and winamp. i uninstalled winamp completely, the difference is notable even with my crappy speakers (have audigy value SC)...

thanks to blade who kinda forced me to try foobar 2k and then i got wired to configuring it :lol:

Well .. u can say i'm pretty much a die hard fan of winamp .. this release is quite an awesome update .. and combined with some plugins , its a awesome piece of application .. i've not tried Foobar yet ... but personally i can say one thing .. in terms of clarity , Quicktime sounds the best on my pc .. but winamp with all the plugins (or without it) , is the most complete package u can come across ...

alright so messa still having problems with winamp... only one though...

the thing is that.. when i download a liveset.. sometimes in winamp it doesnt play the whole actual length of the liveset but only a few minutes..

like for eg - i got a live set. for 120 min. but its playing in winamp for only 89 minutes... but in wmp and foobar it plays full without any problems.... any info regarding this ? as to why this happens?
 
i have the winamp surround sound edition & it rocks. i dont want updates as this is one of the best releases of WImap & my speakers rocks with the surround sound experience
 
I think jetAudio had this Sound Extension from a loong time. I find it to give the best quality sound on my speakers.... It has 32-bit output for mp3, og, flac, mpc formats. Also jetAudio has "Dynamic Range Control" for stopping sound fluctuations...also to prevent clipping has got "Dynamic Limiter" in 32-bit mode...

I find it produces the best quality of sound for my speakers... Although I know sound differs from ear-to-ear... I still havent heard any1 saying that they (atleast 75 ppl I have installed for) didnt see an improvement in sound after they started using jetAudio!!
