Winamp skins

I recently upgraded to Win 7, and have been beset with several small, niggling issues.

I downloaded the latest version of Winamp, but when I try to apply a skin, it shows the default winamp skin. I tried at lease 10 different ones. No luck.

What could be wrong? I got the player + skins off winamp.com
 
Try uninstalling winamp completely and and clean your registry with a decent registry cleaner, restart your machine and try reinstalling winamp again... btw, which version are you using? install the latest one...
 
make sure u select modern skins while installing. Also check if the folder ur placing it in is the right one - C:\Program Files (x86)\Winamp
