Guys i have a dual boot xp and windows 7. windows 7 is acting strangely since yesterday.After few hrs the net connection disconnects itself automatically after few hrs.Even it says there is no lan connection when there is.After restart it again works fine.

In xp however i havent faced this problem yet..

now what may be the problem.

check the wireless profile, you can try to delete it and recreate it. Look for schedulers and firewall settings

Could be a driver problem. Reinstall the LAN driver for your mobo. it ll be on the mobo support page on their website.

Probably a DRIVER error.

Go to device manager and see if there is a yellow exclamation mark on the device {LAN}.

If there is, then totally un-install it and after reboot install it again.

If the problem persists, check the LAN wire for any cracks or cuts or any overheating issues {seriously, my LAN wire was hanging in front of CPU fan and stopped working after every 1/2 hour.}
