Well seeing the hype the ACM deal has created , even i was tempted to buy the account and Srini sir was very helpful in trying to get me one.
However i just stumbled upon this great offer from Microsoft itself where it is offering Windows 7 enterprise edition 90 day trial.
I have never used a pirated OS but i have also never bought one. This is because i am never able to run my OS for more than 30 days(except on a few occaisons). I have always preferred trial versions and as nearly every software offers a trial of about one month so after or before one month i usually re-install the OS.
However this modus-operandi doesn't suit everyone , but for people like me this is as good as getting the OS for free.
So all you need is a Microsoft ID- you'll have one if you downloaded the RC releases from microsoft itself , other wise you can create one in a few minutes.
Here's the link for the specific page - Windows 7 Enterprise 90 Day Trial
After selecting the windows that you want , you will be asked for your microsoft ID and after logging in make sure to select IT worker or IT manager in the occupation selection as this offer is only for IT professionals.
Also make sure you are using IE and not some other browser. It will request you to install ActiveX control for the download manager and the download will start henceforth.
If you don't want to use the download manager provided by the site, you'll have to type the whole url given in the download manager in the paste the link option in your own download managing software.
Currently i am downloading the 64-bit iso
