Click on Show processes from all users & then take a screenshot. Make sure that all the processes are displayed ( even if it takes 2 screenies )

hmmm... that is a little strange... CPU does not seem to be the issue here - but maybe it's different when you are using the browser - assuming you are using iTunes here, which is a bit on the heavy side. Bunch of things you can try to figure out where the problem is though. Optimise appearence for performance, try a different media player and browser. Check if that changes anything. Does the text lag when you use notepad as well? Or is it just in the browser?

It seems as if you have been infected by some sort of Malware. Try running Tune-up Utilities & see if it fixes anything . If you dont have too much ram ( More than 4 gigs ) switch to 32bit Windows 7.

Im On 32bit Windows 7 Using all of the same applications that you are using substituting Clone CD for Daemon Tools & Microsoft Security Essentials as the Anti Virus. The Only thing that i dont have installed is iTunes.

Look at my screeny

Notice the small number of applications running , use Startup manager in tuneup utilities to fix this.

Great. All my work has almost like stopped. I start PC and i can barely do ANYTHING. I am gonna do a fresh install of Win7 32, i anyways was gonna... Thanks all for help.

Damn iTunes. I installed 32 bit windows 7 and it worked nicely for a day and then when I downloaded iTunes 32 bit and installed it, my system got slower than before. So how else I am going to transfer movies and songs to my itouch? I then msconfig'd and unticked iTunes and that apple player and now my boot loader has failed. Just shows read error and press ctrl+alt+delete to restart and then the same story. :@. What do I do guys?

Edit: I am wondering if I had to format the c drive totally and then install win 7 as it only moved my old OS to "windows.old". And by the way iTunes already had my fav songs and videos listed in it that too when I was yet to connect my itouch. Some registry issue? Though I deleted that old windows folder. Would a clean install help? Or I should just stop using iTunes?

A friend of mine had a similar problem his problem was solved when he found out that win7 was using a wrong chipset driver. There are some stupid virus meant for winXP that are slowing win7 down but do not spread in win7 check for them too( I know this as I'd dealt with them).

iTunes should not cause such a big problem. Try it after a clean install of win7.

Use two partitions secondary one 'd' for winXP and primary 'c' for win7. This way there wont be any renaming of windows folders. Yes you should do a complete fresh install afterr downloading all the latest drivers.

I have had similar slowdowns twice now, only in my case it is somehow triggered when I try to connect my laptop to a TV with Svideo. Once I do that, windows slows to a crawl.Couldnt even copy paste my data from desktop to another partition to save them.
Using windows 7 professional 64 bit on my inspiron 1520.
This happened with a clean install aswell. SO, I doubt any virus. I havent tried connecting the S video after that. Used to work with Win Vista.
