Windows Explorer in Windows 7

Hi,

Whenever i open a folder it takes a pretty long time to display all its contents like 20 sec even for a folder with a single file.
I hv a Intel P4 3Ghz, 2Gig Ram, 7200 Sata HD and yeah the default template for all folders are set to 'General'

BTW HD is Defragmented.

your computer might be infected, try cleaning it. Also try turning off "indexing" to speed up page loads in the Windows explorer.

Which exact CPU you have..?

Tell the OS u are using and the theme setting in use.
Also, what are the contents of the folder that is taking long to open?
