Budget 0-20k Windows XP Mobo + Proccy + Ram

Hi friends,

My office system died and need a motherboard and processor combo to run Windows XP SP3 to run some old softwares.

  1. What is your budget?
    • Around Rs. 6000
  2. What is your existing hardware configuration (component name - component brand and model)
    • CPU - 4400+
    • Motherboard - Jetway
    • GPU - None
    • RAM - Kingstron 2 gb DDR2
    • Monitor - Acer LCD 19"
    • PSU - POV
    • Coolermaster
  3. Which hardware will you be keeping (component name - component brand and model)
    • Monitor - Acer LCD 19"
    • PSU - POV
    • Coolermaster
  4. Which hardware component are you looking to buy (component name). If you have already decided on a configuration then please mention the (component brand and model) as well, this will help us in fine tuning your requirement.
    • CPU - Intel Pentium G2030, --- AMD A4 4000
    • Motherboard - Asus H61M-CS, Gigabyte H61M-S1, or Gigabyte H61M-WW for Intel AND Gigabyte GA-F2A55m-s1 for AMD.
  5. Is this going to be your final configuration or you would be adding/upgrading a component in near future. If yes then please mention when and which component
    • Yes final config. No changes.
  6. Where will you buy this hardware? (Online/City/TE Dealer)
    • Locally Chandigarh.
  7. Would you consider buying a second hand hardware from the TE market
    • Yes for the processor only.
  8. What is your intended use for this PC/hardware
    • Office work only.
    • Microsoft word, excel, and similar softwares,
    • Some light softwares which run on Windows XP only. Like Stedman Dictionaries.
  9. Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them and the reason for your preference/dislike.
    • None.
  10. If you will be playing games then which type of games will you be playing?
    • AOE3
    • Need for speed.
  11. What is your preferred monitor resolution for gaming and normal usage
    1. Desktop - 1366x768
    2. Gaming - 1366x768
  12. Are you looking to overclock?
    • No
  13. Which operating system do you intend to use with this configuration?
    • Windows XP SP3

I am not able to decide whether to buy Intel or AMD combo, which combo will be best, or something better can be bought in same budget to run Windows XP SP3.

Motherboard - Gigabyte H81M-S1 -3500,
RAM - Corsair Value Select 1600Mhz 4GB -2500,
PSU - Antec VP450P -3000.
TOTAL -12,500.

Then buy these:
RAM - Corsair Value Select 1600Mhz 4GB -2500,
PSU - Antec VP450P -3000.
TOTAL -5500.

Your present config supports Windows XP 32 bit sp3.
