This is an IC for a Wireless HDMI/TV Recorder-cum-Media Player. The product is a OEM product used by many big companies like samsung etc. My colleagues company who is planning on bringing this here has tried them personally and the quality and features are amazing.

This is just an IC, as based on this they will decide to enter the market with the product as their own brand. This is not a Dealer thing too :P Just sort of a opinion poll on the product.

You can discuss the pros-cons of the same in this thread. As i have little knowledge about products like these, maybe the discussion will help me too :P

Anything without HDD??

USB support is fine?.. i mean will ir support a USB hub which got multiple discs attached?

I think it should. As of now we are not planning on a without HDD model. Will check with him about the same. BTW , a few more features updated :P

Well , this comes with the HardDisk inbuilt, and gives u time-shift and recording capabilities which are its main points.

Why not full-hd resolution? seems expensive without that.

Does it have upscaling capability? To what extent?

Wish it was like 8k... :( ...price of a WD TV ..:(

Well..it is almost the same price range as WD TV...infact a better product as you get the TIME SHIFT and DVB-T as well with a built in HDD....so if you compare the features....i dont think you would say that it is over priced :S

I would suggest to add a without HDD model as most people already have HDDs lying around. so we could that and also its cost gets reduced

DVB-T being touted as a feature for India is useless.

Also, the model without hdds is gonna be more of a seller.

1080p would have been sweeter

Yep. It's a chinese OEM (Like nearly every other thing :P)

DVB-T being touted as a feature for India is useless.

The DVB-T is required for NAS and Bittorrent if i am not mistake. That is the reason why we opted for this model.

As for the 1080p, let me ask my colleague to check with the supplier.

Ahhhh. :P As i posted , i am not well educated when it comes to these items :P

NAS and bittorrent was mentioned only in the one with DVB-T so i thought it had something to do with that. Let me check and get back to you.

Hello,

Firstly , we are not sourcing it from the manufacturer mentioned above...

Yes, Its a Chinese OEM....

I tried getting the 1080p...but for the first lot we cannot...may be in the coming months we will be able to get the 1080p..

We are not marketing it as a media player only...It is a DVR which has Media player features + NAS + UPnP

So , If you are comparing it with the lights of Xtreamer & WD TV...plz check for the DVR function aswell.

About the pricing - > we will try and keep the price as low as possible...This was just an interest check for the product to know whether the public will like the product or not.

also , this is not only targeted to the computer enthusiasts like on TE but also for the masses where most ppl dont know wat ".MKV" is.....so its a DVR + Media player for those...a substitute for a dvd player if i may say that....
