Linksys = Very good / Expensive (most models are around the 4~5k mark)

Netgear = Decent enough / Cheap (models start as cheap as ~2k)

D-Link falls somewhere in between .

Last I checked, a Linksys WRT54GL was available for around 3.5 to 3.8k. Pretty decent router. Dunno about D-Link or Netgear prices though.

If you need good coverage, go for Netgear's Rangemax routers, slightly pricey but coverage is much better

Get linksys - remove default firmware and load DD-WRT or similar linux based firmware. Extemely stable and tons of mods available.

Linksys with 16 MB is available for 2600 and with 32 mb (gs) for approx 3700 (in Bangalore)

I bought Linksys WRT54GL.Range sucked reeally bad.

Bought Linksys WRT54GS.Range much better.

Dont remember prices though GS is around 400-700 more exp
