Very very irritating 
.... 320GB Samsung 2.5" Drive in an external Hitachi casing. When connected it keeps on throwing write delayed failed error messages. Automatically unplugs and plugs itself back to the system once a minute. Can't read off it, can't write to it.
-Its not my windows, cause other portable hdd's work just fine.
-I thought it might be the cable, so I tried another cable from seagate, maxtor portables, same.
-I decided to run chkdsk on it - no go
-I tried running scandisk on it - no go
-HdTune - no go
-Tried the 2 usb connector cable - no go
So I'm stranded with 2 options / possibilities now :
a) the casing is kaput - in that case i need to get hold of another casing and test its functionality on it.
b) the hdd is kaput - in that case - rip to the data
any other suggestions, tricks, fix's that can be tried ?
