I am planning to buy a cheap Android @ 5~6k as the maximum budget for my father who needs to move to a better phone. He has never used an Android phone before.
I have two phones in mind - the Idea Zte Blade @ 5900 - a phone I am familiar with - I bought one from the first Orange San Francisco IC by Varkey 2 years back on TE.
The other phone is the Idea Alcatel 918N dual sim @ 5700. I found this to have a slightly better build quality that the Zte Blade. This phone has a slightly smaller 3.2 inch screen with a paltry 480x320 resolution compared to the 3.5 inch 800x480 Blade screen and has a larger 1300 mah battery compared to the 1250mah battery in the Blade.
Which of the two is a better buy? How is the community/rom support for the Idea blade?
Are there any phones I should consider in this budget?
