I'm planning to buy cheapest LCD available in the market .
Any brand will do.<even the Chinese makes:p >
Display should be 14'' to 16''.:ashamed:

Also are there any screen guards available for 19'' Wide LCD monitors.
Will buy in a week or so, planning to buy from Lammy.

IIRC Viewsonic 15inchers retail for <7.5k odd;

No clue abt the rest; :ashamed:

Hunt for any 2nd hand LCDs; :p

Display should be 14'' to 16''.

There aren't any 16" LCDs in the market..

I'd recommend a 15" from viewsonic, acer or any other reputed brand..

LG,DELL,SAMSUNG,AOC etc. are expensive comparatively.

Or like "gannu" suggested, get a second hand 17" or 19" LCD..

Nopes; :p

Apparently there's one, Viewsonic launched recently [that too a widescreen!! :p] and somebody even happened to post it here IIRC; :)

Anyhow this's the news regarding the same: ViewSonic's First 16-Inch LCD Monitor

and this's the model:
ViewSonic - Products - VA1616w :)

EDIT: here's the thread posted on the same: http://www.techenclave.com/pc-peripherals/viewsonic-intros-16-inches-lcd-monitor-109751.html :p

Lol. ,Came across that before I posted(googled it!).
But the chances of gettin a 16" is bleak...

A bulky CRT with flickering is not the same as an thin LCD with negligible eyestrain. Id choose an LCD anyday unless I get a 17" CRT for a dirt cheap price !

I know about all the highs and lows of CRT's and would have picked one blindly if space was not an issue.

I just wanted to know the cheapest rate for an LCD.

Also I've not seen many 15'' 2nd hand LCD's for sale?

^^ Probably because mostly companies buy the 15" LCDs. Most consumers will pick a 17" or 19" over the 15" since there is a small difference.
